Hunky Funky PJ's

I soooo love these PJ's! Jeannette asked for something black and white with a pattern. I made her black satin pants and a white cotton lycra top. The black pants have an AWESOME pattern with white ribbon and the top has the same pattern reversed with black ribbon.I love these PJ's and they are so Jeannette! However, these won't be in my collection as the time it takes to do the ribbon design it to time consuming..... unless I have special requests...

I hope you enjoy looking at the PJ's I have been waiting to post!

So Sweet PJ's

Here are some PJ's named "So Sweet" after Louise! She asked for a light pink pants and comfy black top. I made some light pink satin pants with a black ribbon strip down the side, i also had the pants tie up at the side with pink bows (so cute!!). The top is made out a very light spandex knit fabric (hard to decsribe but very comfy), with a pink ribbon strip down the side, it is gathered at the front and back where the sleeve starts and it has pretty pink bows.

I need to get some more photo's of the detail on these....
I loved these and they are so Louise!

Comfy Knit PJ's

I made some PJ's for an Autism Fundraiser I went to a few weeks ago and I haven't had time to photoshop the photo's and post them, but I have finally done it and here they are! (My photoshop needs some work though....)

Here are some PJ's made in a teal green colour with a purple strip down the side and I have used ribbon to finish them off. The pants are 3/4 length and the top has a square neck with gathering at the front and back of the neck. The sleeves are very short and gathered.

I was really happy with them and Cynthia loved them!
Have a great week! Lee-Anne

Angel Dress

I love wearing this dress and it is fitted but comfy at the same time. I decided it name it the "Angel" Dress. Not after our bengal cat, but I think it looks like the shape of Angel's that sit on top of christmas trees! It is made in a light knit fabric (purchased from Fabric Gallery in Girrawheen), which is black with grey circles on it. I have used black around the midriff section and for the bands around sleeves, neck and skirt. The dress is fully linned, as the material is a little see-through....

I have finally taken pic's of some of my tops on a dress making dummy (as coathangers just didn't show the shapes of my tops & dresses), so be prepared for more photo's!!

I had requests for people to leave comments, so at the end of each post there is now a comments area.

Enjoy your Anzac weekend!!

Clothing Tags

I love receiving gifts that have beautiful presentation. On my very first few customers I have handmade nice clothing tag's with personal messages on them. I think it is a nice touch and I will try to do this with all my clothing creations when I start sewing for my Custom Dressmaking party plans customers. I have also made a tiny "Thank you" card.

Here's an example

I have included washing instructions on the tags, as I didn't like the ones I could buy at the stores....

On the back of the "Thank you" card I have added the slogan "Feel Confident" and that I will donate part of the funds to the Vanuatu community! It's may way to helping the country where we got married. Also hoping the universe will return the favour to my new business and I will not become another unsuccessful home business statistic in a few years.....Pictures of my first customers PJ's are coming this week! Keep posted!

Thank you, Lee-Anne

Satin Shirring Top - Tegan's 21st pressie!

I have made a top out of some lovely black, grey & white pattern satin for Tegan's 21st b'day pressie. I used shirring around the bust and it has a black satin tie underneath the bust. I made it this afternoon and it was not hard at all. I was getting very frustrated making it (as the cotton kept breaking while I was shirring.. urr), but I am very very pleased with it! I will definately be putting this top in my collection!

Happy Birthday Tegan! Looking foward to seeing you tonight at your party!
Have a great weekend everyone! Lee-Anne

Chemise Dress - PJ Collection!

I had this georgous baby blue material from some remenants, just enough to make some comfy sleepware! I also made some more Pj's for some friends for an Autism PJ Funraiser, which I was really happy with! This style will definately be in my PJ Collection when I am ready to do my "Custom Dressmaking -Party Plan style" business, but here is a teaser for now!
I loved making it and it was so comfy that I made a bright satin purple one for an Autism PJ fundraiser we went to last night
Will definately be making more of these! Great for presents!

Woven Labels

I was so excited to receive my new Woven Labels & Printed Ribbon in the post yesterday! I had looked at a few places that did them, however went with Fancy Weaver for the Labels and Bridal On-Line for the ribbon and purchased them both on EBay. Big thanks to my cousin in-law, Kate "Two Little Banshees", who had used Fancy Weaver before!I am really pleased with them and put them on my 1st (paying) customers PJ's last night!

Jade's dresses

Ever since Jade (our best friends daughter) was born I wanted to make her some pretty dress, but wanted to wait until she was old enough and walking. Finally, Christmas last year I wanted to give them to her for a chrissy pressie. I was all prepared and started making them early, however dancing costumes came up and I never finished them in time. I finally finished them in January and couldn't wait to give them to her! I made them reversible, incase of any eating accidents.... they are embellished with ribbon & tiny ricrac. I also got to use the decorative stiches on my machine, which I was so pleased with, I have used them again!

Here was the finished product! Dan & Nik loved them!
I called this one her little Indian Dress Can't wait to make some of these for Madison!
