Similar Tutu Dress

I was watching the new Myer fashion ad on tv the other night and Jennifer Hawkins is wearing a pale lime green tutu dress.... Straight away I remember I made this lime tutu dress for Lydia a year ago and it is VERY similar....

Here is the Myer dress
Here is the Tutu dress I madeHere is the pic I received from Lydia to base the dress from

I know it's not exactly the same, but I think it is pretty close and has the same basic concept. Good choice Lydia!!!

I hope everyone enjoys the Easter break!

Tiny Floppy-Sleeve Top

I made this top with some scraps. I had been keeping this remanent of stripey material to make something nice and I really like this top! I was a nice quick top to make and very comfortable. The good thing about this pattern is that you don't need much material to make the bodice or shoulder part, and can use scraps. It has a few gathers in the middle between the bust and has nice tiny floppy sleeves.

Our baby, Talia, also got in on the action (thanks to John) when I was taking some photo's. She is now 5 1/2 months and a "Mini John"
Have a lovely Easter!

Halter Wrap Tops

I have a few of these Wrap tops currently available in my Etsy shop. I wear them all the time and find them great with a plain pair of pants/skirt/etc. You can wear them thousands of ways and they are great over a cami/singlet/mesh top. As the neckline is a "V" it makes your torso look long and when worn tied at the belly it gathers hiding any nasty bumps.... These tops are also so easy to store in your wardrobe! I have adjusted the pattern so they can also be made in a Satin for an evening look. I hope you enjoy looking at some pics of my favourite "Halter Wrap Tops" I have made.

Thank you for viewing my blog and keep posted for some "Bubby Leggins" I have cut out ready to go!!

Shop Open -SALE ITEMS

What better way to open my "Etsy" shop, than with a SALE!!
I have these 2 styles for sale, that I love to wear:

The first is a "Floppy Wrap/Maternity Wrap" and if you ask anyone who saw me when I was pregnant & breastfeeding I was ALWAYS in one of these tops! They are so easy to wear and I can count over 6 versatile ways to wear it, I'm sure you can even think of more.
I was lucky enough to walk into a local material store and find this Micro-Mesh on sale, so I brought the remaining role in Karkii & Grape/Indigo and I love this fabric. It is a see-through mesh, very stretchy and light weight. I don't get my fabric at wholesale prices, so when I see great remenants I buy metres.

Another favourite of mine is this "Halter Wrap" and I am always in these too. They are great to wear over a cami. I like making these in a stretch/ jersey/ slinky fabric. They are also great to wear when breastfeeding, as you can just slip them over your neck. You can wear these over 5 ways and they are also very versatile in size, even as a Maternity top under the bust or belly.. The tops also look great in the Micro-Mesh fabric.

I am currently working on some more tops in different styles for my shop.
Thank you for viewing my website and hopefully my store! I like to hear your comments and any suggestions you have.
Enjoy your day,
Lee-Anne

New Website Look!

Hi all, I can't believe how fast the last 6 months have flown by! A big thanks to everyone who has still been checking in every now and again. I had all good intentions to keep my blog updated while on Maternity Leave with Talia, but the days just seem to be pre-occupied with "gooogooogooo & gaagaagaaaa"and while she is alseep I tend to just sew like crazy!

I have been sewing quiet a lot and have a heap to post. I'm also in the middle of pricing some pieces to put on my "Etsy" site in a week. http://www.etsy.com/shop/heavenleecreations

Here is a sneak peak of one of the most beautiful dresses I have sewn, for a friends daughter highschool ball! Keep posted for some more pics showing the detail and back, it's just gorgeous! I hope you had a great time Ciara.
Our bubby girl is doing great and now rolling like crazy! She loves rolling in her cot and talking to her cute cow made by my cousin-in-law, Kate Henderson,Two Little Banshees. Thanks Kate, she loves it! http://www.neverenoughhours.blogspot.com/ Lee-Anne
