Treasure Hunt Market

We had a stall at Treasure Hunt Market on Sunday. A huge thanks to everyone who came to visit us and it was nice to put some faces to our facebook friends.

Treasure Hunt Market on Sunday!

Here is a picture of gorgeous little Mia the dancing princess in her Mesh Dance Skirt! Too cute! love it!Also a cute little one in Bali wearing her Floppy Ruffle Swimsuit! To precious!!

Please head down to Treasure Hunt Market this Sunday, if it's raining, just get out your umbrella and parking is really close to the entry. It's at Craigie Leisure Centre from 10am-1pm. There is facepainting and activities for the kidlets. Please see the details to the left.

I was digging through my material cupbaord the other day and found a few women's tops I have made, so I will have a small stand with these for sale, under 1/2 price!!! I just need some more room for my lycra now.... or hubby will start throwing it onto the streets.. Here's a sneak peak of the style, but I only have Black and Gunmetal Grey and a few sizes.

Handmade Children's Market!

Last Saturday we had a stall at the very last "Handmade Children's Market". We had a great response and everyone loved the new dumy that I had on display.

The Floppy Ruffle Swimsuits were loved by everyone and the Rashy's had a good response too, as there is not too much for the little lad's at the markets!

One cute little girl came straight from her dancing class and modelled her "Green Mesh Skirt" and apparently she did a mini concert for her parents in it that night. Too cute! This is exactly why I make them! It looks great with a black leotard and black leggins, FUNKY!!!

Here we have "Mele" she is a cabbage patch, wearing a tiny Floppy Ruffle swimsuit. Mele's cabbage patch name is Carmelita, but my daughter nicknamed her "Mele" and I'm hoping she won't miss her for a day...

I'm not too sure of this little girls name yet... I have been wanting to get one of these for a while and when Shop 4 Shops had a sale, I couldn't resist!

Market Girl stall

I had a stall at "Market Girl" last weekend. It was great and a well organised, well promoted market and it makes such a difference with the number of people that come through the door!

I had the Floppy Ruffle Swimsuit, Dance skirts and Rashy's on display. The response was amazing and such wonderful feedback. It was lovely to see some familar faces from the other stalls and meet some more talented mum's. Thanks to my supportive friend, Nikki, who came to visit. She's always there with her girls, no matter how far she has to drive... and I always love to have a cuddle from my favourite clients, Jade & Alice!!!

Here is a cute little girl that couldn't wait to put on her pink Mesh Dance Skirt!

I really enjoy doing the markets and I have a few more booked in.... more details to come later! After finishing a few orders this week and dealing with a little sick girl, I'm ready to start cutting & sew more stock and thinking of introducing another gorgeous bright pattern to the Floppy Ruffle Swimsuit!

Next Market-Market Girl!

Here are the details of the next market we will be at, Market Girl!I have purchased some lycra from EBay for some Boys Rashy's, it was the only place I could find some at a decent price!!! It is army/camo which I'll pair up with some Blue or Green, and also some cute Racing Checkers which will look HOT with some red lycra, for all them "Cars" fans! I can't wait to receive it and get started...

Enjoy your "Mothers Day" tomorrow and I hope all you wonderful mothers are spoilt!!! I can't wait to show you my present from my daughter Talia, Jenny at Small Prints North made it and I have always wanted a finger print jewellery piece. It'll complement my crepe paper corsage/rose my daughter made me at daycare just perfectly! I'll be a very proud mummy wearing it tomorrow at our breakfast at "Oakover Winery!" yiippeeee!!!

Treasure Hunt Market-my stall!

I had my first stall last Sunday at Treasure Hunt Market. I surprised myself and was organised, I even had some time to whip up some headbands. Here is my stall!

A huge thanks to everyone who came to visit, it was great to see you and meet some new people!!! and of course my mum, for the support on the day! I loved it on the day and had a lot of fun, setting up, chating to people on the day and most of all getting feedback and advice from the regular's. Thanks for all the positive feedback on the Floppy Ruffle Swimsuits!

The markets were really slow and all the stall holders agreed it was very quiet, not too sure why, school holidays??? However, I always said I wanted to do a few test-run stalls so I am ready for the summer markets with the swimsuits. So I'm not going to let the slowness of my first market get me down, and I have already booked another market for 29th May. Details to come soon, so keep posted!!

Ready for the Treasure Hunt Market!

1 more sleep until the Treasure Hunt Market and I'm all ready! All the sewing done, paperwork done, labelling & admin stuff done, banner received from Vista Print, and I've tested the display.

I have the bestest dad in the whole world!!!! He is a cabinet maker "Elverd Furniture Designs" and I gave him some Ikea towel racks and asked him to make me a clothing display stand. 2 days ago he dropped this off at my door and it was exactly what I wanted!!

So please keep a look out for this display when you come! I also bought this little towel rack from Ikea and it is perfect for my skirts.

I'm very excited now and will try to get some headbands sewn up tonight, just as a little extra surprise....

Photoshoot!

Wow, I have been so very busy the last few weeks..... Everything is kicking into overdrive for the "Treasure Hunt Market" on 1st May. We had a photoshoot last Sunday down at Hillary's Boat Harbour with 5 gorgeous girl and 1 little cute baby! Check out the amazing photo's from "Jeannette Baxter Photography", they are too cute! Sewing for the 60 swimsuits is nearly finished! I am a little behind schedule, but considering I'm working 3 full-time days, teaching dancing Monday night & Saturday, swimming Thursday's and most importantly full-time mummy, I think I'm doing pretty well.... Every spare 10 minutes I can sit at a sewing machine is treated like gold at the moment (hence the reason for no blogging)! Let's hope I can keep up the pace for the next few weeks...
